Zoë Hagler Marcus, Certified Instructor and Teacher Trainer, is the owner and director of ZOË.  As a dancer with the San Francisco Ballet and the Chicago City Ballet, she was introduced to Pilates in 1987 by Romana Kryzanowska, disciple of Joseph Pilates.

Over the years, Zoë has shared her knowledge of Pilates with hundreds of students and has honed the skills of many teachers in Southern California, Atlanta, Chicago and New York.  Zoë has been a guest teacher at the University of Southern California, California Institute of the Arts, Glendale Community College and, most recently, Art Center College of Design in Pasadena.
 
She received her Bachelor degree from Occidental College where she studied Exercise Science and Education. For over a decade, Zoë has remained dedicated to preserving the method and committed to maintaining a staff of highly qualified, certified instructors.
